Bullet shaped counter bail with plastic disc with extension. The plastic spread makes the earring not look like it's dangling but sits more nicely on the ear. Especially large pearl and ball earrings stay more straight on the ear with these clasps. Also works well with stretched earrings - the part of the plate prevents the clasp from pressing into the earhole.
