The nose ring is a stylish alternative to a pin. In this design, the ring is inserted into the nose and the end of the ring has a chisel tip that stays inside the nose to prevent the ring from falling off. Convenient and quick to put in the nose.
  • Thickness: 1mm
  • Diameter: 8mm
  • Thickness of talus head: 2mm
  • Material:Surgical steel (316L steel)

This nose jewellery model is inserted into the nose so that the talismanic end remains inside the nose to prevent the jewellery from dripping. The jewellery looks like a full ring on the nose, as the open part of the ring remains inside the nostril.

316L steel is a well-used material for piercing jewellery. The gold plating and black coating on the steel last well, but do wear off over time as the jewellery is worn. The wear on the coatings is largely influenced by the use of the jewellery and the skin's own PH.

Men also prefer nose jewellery. Nose rings and studded nose jewellery are popular designs.

The most common nose ring designs by attachment style are as follows:

  • Open bendable ring with ball
  • Open bendable ring without ball
  • Ring with loose ball (BCR)
  • Retractable nose ring with chisel head

The nose piercing is often initially applied with a thicker crown. Usually the piercer uses labret jewellery for the nose piercing. The labret piercing jewellery is often 1.2mm thick and has a stone or ball attached by jingles. The end that stays inside the nose is a flat talc. See the range of labret jewellery here.

An alternative to ring nose jewellery is push pin nose jewellery. You can find the cool pin nose jewellery from the nose ring selection at online shop. The range includes diamond nose rings as well as more discreet shapes such as ball nose rings. In the thicker nose rings you will find the more affordable ball piercing rings and clicker rings for piercing.

Material:

  • Surgical steel 316L

Is surgical steel a good material?

Surgical steel is a popular material for jewellery because it is durable and lasts a lifetime. The steel itself does not wear in use, but the coatings on it, such as gold plating (14K or 18K) or other metallic coatings, can wear over time. The amount of wear and tear is influenced by the way the jewellery is worn and the PH of the wearer's skin, which is individual.

The durability of gold plating and other coatings varies; they generally hold up well to wear, but are not as long-lasting as the surgical steel itself. In particular, copper coatings can wear more quickly than steel coatings. Surgical steel can also be safely used in the shower or sauna, which makes it more comfortable to use. However, to prevent wear and tear and to ensure the longevity of your jewellery, it is important to be aware of your own usage habits and skin characteristics.
